Location Portraits by Gabriella Ariffin, Jie Zhong and Janjira Jatejarungwong

A simple concept started it;
One day in the garden, meeting strangers and hearing their stories.

The first portrait that we shot in the morning is a 3-year-old boy with his teenage sister, a very lovely girl who told us that she was babysitting her little brother while their parents were away, and the gardens became an ideal place for them to spend a Sunday morning.

We shot the family portrait with the grandparents and their grandchildren at noon right after we asked for their permission when we found them strolling in the gardens. It is easy to tell that they have a close relationship through the amiable expression of the grandparents, and especially how the lady gently places her hand on the head of the younger grandson

This mother-and-daughters portrait was taken in the evening, and we were told that the mother was going to have an operation for her cancer treatment the next day, and she kept saying that it is such a blessing for them to have their portraits taken at this special moment of their lives.

The final picture we shot for the day shows a young man holding his two Yorkshires. The portrait well depicts a healthy life style that the man and his pets have, and somehow delivers a sense of humor. Most importantly, we intend to express the ideal of the harmonious relationships among human, nature and animal
