I had an image from a dream that was stuck in my head for sometime so i try make it happen.
This is jack and jack, my intention was to create an image that you can't tell what era it is from.
Sam, what I love about these portraits is that they look as though you've developed the concept/idea around a style of photography that is recognizable and fast becoming synonymous with 'Sam Wong.' In other words, I think the black and white street photography style has been successfully deployed here to create something a little surreal, intricate and original. The last three shots are especially fantastic and, even after successive views I’m unable to discern a single favorite. Over the last twelve months or so I think you’ve really developed a unique and original style and these photographs really reflect that.

ReplyDeleteThe first image reminds me of Henri- cartier bresson which is a huge compliment to you. The series also works well together. love them
