the inspiration for my vision came from the american photograpger Aaron Ruell,
whos portraits of the everyday ordinary person seem very still, but at the same time have an awkward tension. Aaron Ruell is pretty into this style of portraiture, he had a lot to do with the making of "Napoleon Dynamite" (which is how i first discovered him).
the main link for the series would obviously be the laundromat, i think its interesting seeing the different kind of people who use these facilities.
the images posted bellow are kind of test shots, they are a long way from what i intend to present as final images.
