Max is a designer (a member of the AGDA Hall of Fame) and a celebrated artist.
The idea behind this was to photograph Max at work and play. Unfortunately Max has closed down his painting studio where I envisaged a lot of the photography would take place.
Not really sure why, but I'm struggling to see a series here of any meaning and depth. It may be that although Max is a bit older, we share a lot in common, we are both anglo-australian males, both worked in 'the industry'. (I also suspect we would end up spending more time sitting around smokin' and drinkin', getting very little done!) Max is great company but I think I need to set myself something a bit more culturally challenging.
I do have a new idea to pursue and, in the meantime, would like to persist and see if I can get just the one 'definitive' portrait of Max. He is, after all, an interesting subject.
Hope these look ok. They seem pretty dark here to me. Nothing like the original files . . .
